B.M., University of Georgia, 1992. J.D., University of South Carolina School of Law, 2000. Admitted to South Carolina Bar in 2000. Admitted to Georgia Bar in 2002. Alexia's first job out of law school was as an attorney for the Georgia Governor's Office for Consumer Affairs, where she fought for protection for Georgia consumers under the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act and Georgia's Lemon Law. Alexia then moved into the private sector in 2003, gradually gaining more experience until she was ready to open her own practice in February 2005. Her practice began with the formation of Niketas and Associates, P.C., which grew into the partnership of Niketas & Clark, LLP. Alexia's primary emphasis is now on Chapters 7 & 13 Consumer Bankruptcy, although she still practices in the areas of Residential Real Estate, Family Law and other general practice areas. She is also particularly interested in animal welfare and animal law and is very pleased to add Pet Trusts to Niketas and Clark, LLP's list of Estate Planning services.
Alexia grew up in Summerville, South Carolina, just outside of Charleston. She is the proud parent of five rescued dogs and one rescued cat and has fostered many shelter dogs over the past ten years who found permanent homes. Her personal mission is to improve the plight of shelter pets and reduce the alarming rate of euthanasia in Georgia's county animal control shelters by promoting shelter pet adoptions and aggressive spay/neuter programs. She is involved in animal law legislation in Georgia as well, in hopes of improving animal welfare across the state.
Alexia is a member of both the Bankruptcy Section and the Animal Law Section of the Georgia Bar.
Brett W. Clark, Esq.
